What Is the Freely Consultable Work Instructions Module? #
Azumuta’s Freely Consultable Work Instructions module is a comprehensive digital solution designed to optimize the creation, management, and sharing of manufacturing work instructions.
The module allows for the development of highly visual & interactive instructions that include visual elements such as symbols, videos, 3D imagery, and other multimedia elements to enhance every work instruction’s clarity and precision.
Azumuta focuses heavily on data capture from the shop floor (through product checks, and the integration of peripheral hardware devices). It allows operators to perform quality control checks directly on the shop floor – and forward their findings to their manager’s device. It supports text/numerical data input, photo/video documentation, barcode scanning, and various other forms of data – helping manufacturers to maintain the highest quality standards.
However, the Freely Consultable Work Instruction module does not support data capture & storage. This module is purely for making & consulting work instructions, without any shop floor data being saved. Shop floor data capture & storage are only possible on the following modules:
Please contact us through sales@azumuta.com if you would like to try out these modules.
Moreover, in large factories, it’s common that a work instruction must be approved by one or several managers before it can be deployed to the shop floor. Azumuta facilitates this process through our approval flow feature. It creates an automated mechanism – where requesting & granting approval can be done within just a few clicks.
Prior to approving that request, they can also check the work instruction’s revision history – to ensure that everything is in good order.
And as expected, one of the advantages of using digital work instructions over paper-based ones is the ability to share and reproduce them infinitely. You can export & import them within the platform and across multiple Azumuta workspaces, print them, and even share them publicly with non-Azumuta users.
Why Should You Use This Module? #
- All of your work instructions under one roof: With this module, you’ll have a centralized platform to create, manage, and share work instructions. Gone are the days when work instructions were unorganizedly scattered across hundreds of Microsoft Word files or paperback manual books.
- Real-time updates: Any update that you make to your work instructions will also occur on your operators’ devices – ensuring that they always use the most up-to-date work instructions. This eliminates the risk of errors caused by outdated information.
- Improved accessibility: Digital instructions can be accessed anytime and anytime from any device, such as tablets, smartphones, and desktop computers – making them extremely versatile on the shop floor.
- Enhanced accuracy: Digital work instructions can include multimedia contents (videos, 3D models, attachments, etc) and interactive product checks, which help to ensure that all tasks are always performed correctly.
- Environmentally friendly: Digital work instructions eliminate the need for printing – reducing the environmental impact associated with producing and disposing of paper documents.
- Cost-effective: Say goodbye to paper & printing costs – which can easily cost hundreds of Euros per employee each year!
- And many other benefits.
