We’re Raising the Curtain: Introducing Azumuta Labs

We’ve been experimenting with manufacturing AI for a while now. We’re done keeping it to ourselves.

There’s a lot of noise out there about AI in manufacturing. Some of it is real. Most of it is vendors slapping an AI label on existing functionality and calling it transformation. We’ve been wrestling with the same questions you have. What does manufacturing AI actually unlock? Where does it genuinely save time and capture knowledge? What sounds promising but falls apart on the shop floor?

We have answers to some of those questions. We’re still working on others. And we think the most powerful thing we can do right now is share all of it in the open.

That’s why we launched Azumuta Labs.

This isn’t a marketing channel

Let’s be direct about what Labs is and isn’t.

It’s not a product announcement page. It’s not where we publish polished case studies once something is safely shipped. It’s a working space where we run real experiments, put prototypes in front of real operators and engineers, document what happens, and share it here before we have all the answers.

That means you’ll see results that surprised us. Approaches that didn’t work out. Ideas that are solid in a controlled environment but need more work before they’re production-ready. We’ll share all of it, including the failures, because the path to useful manufacturing AI is shorter when we stop repeating each other’s dead ends.

We believe radical transparency is how the industry moves faster. So that’s what we’re doing. Our first research project is already live. Go take a look.

Why now

Manufacturing is at an inflection point. The technology available today is meaningfully different from what existed two years ago. Some manufacturers will lean in and come out stronger. Others will wait for certainty that never comes.

We’re building Labs for the first group, and we’re inviting you along for the full ride.

Be part of it

Labs isn’t a broadcast channel. We want manufacturers who bring real problems, validate prototypes in their own environments, and push back when something doesn’t hold up. If there’s a challenge on your shop floor you’ve been circling, bring it to us.

The future of manufacturing gets built by the people willing to experiment, share, and improve together. We’re proud to be doing that in public.
