The final phase in setting up andon in your workspace is to activate it on a device. Here’s how to do it:
- Click on “Devices” under “Management”.
- Click on the three-dot icon next to the device where you would like the andon to be activated on.
- Click on “Edit device”.
- Click on the Andon tab.
- Select one of the existing andon flows. Within a device, you can only use one andon flow.
- If you want the device’s screen to freeze after the andon button was pressed, then tick the checkbox next to “User can’t continue until the issue is resolved”. The idea is so that the operator can’t proceed with their work until a supervisor arrives and takes the necessary corrective actions.
- Click on “Save”.
Note: At the moment, you can only call an andon from Azumuta on Web or from the browser version of the app. You can't call an andon from the Azumuta app.
