Besides creating a product order based on an article, you can also create a product order based on an article category. However, under this method, you’ll have to manually configure the parameters on the product order (even though the variants that are linked to this article category are automatically configured).
Here’s how to do it:
How to Create a Product Order Based on an Article Category and Manually Add the Parameters There #
- Click on Quality Management in the homepage sidebar and select “Product orders”.
- Click the Yellow plus button to create a product order.
- Click the “Select an article” dropdown menu, and choose the article category.
- Then, the Work instructions fields will be automatically populated. However, you can still edit them in step No. 6.
- Enter the product order number/name.
- Enter/edit the product order data on the existing fields (if needed).
- Click on the “Variants & Parameters” tab.
- Click on “Add field”.
- Configure the variants (if needed).
- Insert the variant type under “Key” and the variant value under “Value”.
- If you need more parameters: click “Add field” and repeat the step above until all parameters are included.
- Click on “Create product order” when you’re done.
How to Edit the Parameters in a Product Order (Article Category-Based) #
- Click on Quality Management in the homepage sidebar and select “Product orders”.
- Select the targeted product order, and click on it.
- Click on the three-dot icon.
