How to Change the Description of an Instruction Block #
The Description of an Instruction Block? What’s That? #
In Azumuta, each instruction block must have a description. In its essence, an instruction block’s description = the name of an instruction block.
Please take a look at the image below to see where you can find the description of an instruction block:

How to Paste an Instruction Block #
After you’ve copied the instruction block, the next step is to:
- Navigate to the targeted work instruction for where you would like to paste the instruction block to.
- Click on the three-dot icon (“More actions”) next to an existing or new instruction block.
- Click on “Paste Special”.
- Select either “Paste as a deep copy” or “Paste as a shallow copy ”. We will provide an explanation of both possibilities below the video.
Paste as a Deep Copy vs Paste as a Shallow Copy: What’s the Difference? #
Paste as a deep copy: The pasted instruction block is merely a copy of the original instruction block and nothing more. They are not linked in any way. When a change is made on one of the instruction steps on the pasted instruction block, it will not happen in the original instruction block. Similarly, if a change has been made in one of the instruction steps in the original instruction block, it will not happen in the pasted instruction block as well.
Paste as a shallow copy: The pasted instruction block (and all of the instruction steps that it contains) remains linked to the original instruction block (and all of the instruction steps that it contains). When a change is made on one of the instruction steps on the linked instruction block—be it the original or the pasted one—the change will also occur in the very same step in all other linked instruction blocks.
Note: You can also choose the option below as a quicker way to paste as a deep copy.
