Work Instruction UI Enhancement: Expandable Tag Lists

Updated

We’ve enhanced our user interface (UI) by adding an expandable tag list on the work instruction editing view.

This list displays and organizes tags (such as variant tags) that are linked to an instruction step. When there are too many tags to fit on an instruction step row, the excess tags are grouped under a collapsible menu, with an indicator showing the number of tags that are contained within.

This UI enhancement ensures that any instruction step can accommodate any number of tags – no matter how many – without cluttering the work instruction. This helps users to remain focused – preventing them from being overwhelmed by excessive information from tags.

This UI enhancement will surely benefit users with work instructions that contain a high volume of tags. The image below illustrates well how this UI enhancement accommodates a large number of tags within an instruction step.
