In Azumuta, a work instruction can be changed quickly and easily. When changes are made to a work Instruction, the current version of the work Instruction is automatically saved as “Draft”. This draft version can be converted to a new official version via the approve button, shown below:
This draft functions as a new revision official version. To see the difference between a changed work Instruction step and the previous official version, apply the following steps:
Seeing Revision History on a Work Instruction #
- Navigate to the work instruction where you would live to view the revision history of.
- Click on “Revision History”.
- The screen will display a brief overview of multiple versions of the work instruction.
- To highlight changes between different versions, click on “Only show differences”. The blue pencil icon shows the instruction step that has experienced any change.
- You can also select the work instruction language version (if the work instruction was written in more than one language).
Note: If you wish to see the revision history seen from the operator view perspective, you can also click on "Preview operator view", next to "Only show differences".
Tip: By viewing the version history at work instruction level instead of an individual work Instruction step, you can view the changes at the level of a complete work instruction. This gives you an overview at a glance of all the changes for each step in this work instruction.
Seeing a Revision History on a Work Instruction Step #
You can also view the revision history of work instruction steps. Here’s how to do it:
- Navigate to the work instruction step where you would like to view the revision history of.
- Click on “Open”.
- Click on “Revision History”.
- The screen will display a brief overview of multiple versions of the work instruction step.
- Click on “View differences” to see a before vs after change of the work instruction. This video shows that there was no image in this instruction step in the previous version, thus the empty white screen under “Before”.
