How to Add a Visual Page to a Work Instruction Step

Besides visual elements, you can also add visual pages to a work instruction step.

What Is a Visual Page?

Each work instruction step can have one or multiple visual pages. Check out the image below to see what a visual page is:

The interface includes options for adding pages, descriptions, and annotations. A high-resolution image of a well-organized workstation with drills, wrenches, and washers is shown, ensuring workers check provided equipment as instructed.

  1. Click to add a new visual page.
  2. This is the displayed visual page.
  3. Use this section to select the visual page that you would like to be displayed. You can scroll up & down if you have multiple visual pages to select from.

Which Types of Visual Pages Are Available?

  1. An image
  2. A video
  3. A PDF file
  4. A Microsoft Office file (Word/Excel/PowerPoint). You can also edit Microsoft Office files in Azumuta – see how you can do it here.

The dropdown menu includes choices like images, videos, PDFs, office files, 3D files, iframes, ERP tags, and SharePoint PDFs. A preview of an open PDF file titled 'First Aid: The Handbook' is visible in the document viewer.

Here’s an example of a work instruction step that contains multiple pages, seen from the operator’s screen:

A detailed image of disassembled washing machine parts is shown, along with a manual book and a 3D model for reference. The structured workflow ensures precise assembly in a manufacturing setting.
