Enhancements to the Public Sharing Functionality

Updated

Did you know that you can publicly share Azumuta work instructions, article categories, and articles – even to non-Azumuta users? Recently, we’ve taken a step further by adding several new features to this helpful functionality. Here are the enhancements that we’ve added:

Publicly Shared Items Control Panel

We’ve created a new view that allows you to easily see the list of publicly shared items in your workspace and manage them in real-time.

That way, you can keep track of all publicly shared items easily and make the necessary adjustments quickly, all under one view.

As an admin, you’ll have the ability to fully manage your shared items. This includes managing access to the links and QR codes of your item. In this enhancement, we’ve added the ability to reset links and QR codes to publicly shared items. That way, you’ll have greater control over access to your shared items.

One of your items was accidentally shared with the wrong person? Or was an item only meant to be accessible temporarily? Or perhaps you simply need to change links and QR codes regularly for compliance or security purposes? Whatever your needs are, you can rely on this feature in managing the links and QR codes to your shared items.

And most importantly, it only takes a few seconds to reset a link & QR code. Click here to learn more about this feature.

One of the ways you can publicly share an item is by sharing a link to it. However, a conventional link is typically very long – to the point that it becomes cluttery and inconvenient, especially for mobile device users. Not to mention the possibility of it breaking and becoming unusable.

That’s why we’ve shortened all of our links for publicly sharing items. Now, these links appear tidier, less likely to break, and are more mobile device-friendly.
