Planning Tabs for Training Activities

What Is a Planning Tab? #

The planning tab is the main interface of the Planning Tool. It shows you the timeline of all training activities that have been placed on that tab. Moreover, it displays all the relevant information related to each training activity.

Besides displaying information, a planning tab is also interactive. As an admin, you can click on items on a planning tab to configure them.

How to Open an Existing Planning Tab #

1. Click on “Skill Matrix & Trainings” in the homepage sidebar.
2. Click on “Planning”.
3. Click on the desired planning tab.

Navigating through a planning tab’s timeline is pretty easy. Simply click on any area of the planning tab, and drag your mouse to the right (to move to the future) or to the left (to move to the past).

How to Create a Planning Tab #

1. Click on “Skill Matrix & Trainings” in the homepage sidebar.
2. Click on “Planning”.
3. Click on the plus icon.
4. Enter the name of the planning tab.
5. Click on “Save”.
6. Untick all boxes until only the box next to “Training procedures” box is ticked.
7. Now, untick the box next to “Training procedures”. Select the folders and/or training work instructions that you would like to display on the planning tab. However, if you want to select all folders and training work instructions that fall under this module, then leave this box ticked.
8. Configure the sidebar settings.
9. Click on “Save”.

How to Open the Planning Tab Settings #

1. Click on “Skill Matrix & Trainings” in the homepage sidebar.
2. Click on “Planning”.
3. Click on the planning tab that you would like to configure.
4. Click on the three-dot icon.

What Are the Available Settings? #

1. Edit the name of the planning tab.
2. Open the planning tab’s sidebar settings.
3. Configure events.
4. Delete this planning tab.
5. Change this planning tab’s position relative to the other planning tabs. You can move this planning tab to the left/right or make it the leftmost/rightmost planning tab.
6. Download this planning tab as an .xlsx file.
