There are two ways of adding an instruction step to a work instruction: manually and using Multi-Line Import. Here’s how to do them:
Adding an Instruction Step Manually #
- Navigate to the work instruction where you would like to add an instruction step.
- Click on “Add instruction step”.
- Type in the instruction step.
Note: To add another instruction step, simply click again on "Add instruction step" underneath and type in the text on the available field.
Adding an Instruction Step Using Multi-Line Import #
What Is Multi-Line Import? #
Azumuta has a time-saving feature: Multi-Line Import. It allows you to copy text from another document and paste it into an Azumuta work instruction. Our platform will then automatically transform this text into work instruction steps. Thus, you don’t have to manually add the instruction steps to a work instruction.
How Do You Use Multi-Line Import? #
- Navigate to the work instruction where you would like to use Multi-Line Import.
- Click on the three-dot icon (“More actions”) next to “Add instruction step”.
- Click on “Add from multi-line text…”.
- Copy the desired text from your document.
- Paste it to the existing field.
- Click on “Next”.
- Check whether the automatically generated instruction steps are correct.
- Click on “Add instruction steps”.
