There are two ways of adding an instruction step to a work instruction: manually and using Multi-Line Import. Here’s how to do it:
Adding an Instruction Step Manually #
- Navigate to the work instruction where you would like to add an instruction step.
- Click on “Add instruction step”.
- Type in the instruction step description.
To add another instruction step, simply repeat the steps above.
Adding an Instruction Step Using Multi-Line Import #
What Is Multi-Line Import? #
Azumuta has a time-saving feature: Multi-Line Import. It allows you to copy text from another document and paste it into an Azumuta work instruction.
Our platform will then automatically transform this text into work instruction steps. Thus, you don’t have to manually type in the instruction steps on your own.
How Do You Use Multi-Line Import? #
Before you follow the steps below, make sure that you’ve already copied the text that you would like to import into your work instruction.
- Navigate to the work instruction where you would like to use Multi-Line Import.
- Click on the three-dot icon (“More actions”).
- Click on “Add from multi-line text…”.
- Paste it to the existing field.
- Click on “Next”.
- Check whether the automatically generated instruction steps are correct. You can also delete instruction steps there (if desired).
- Click on “Add instruction steps”.
